Hartwood Animal Hospital located in Fredericksburg, Virginia is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team.
Our mission is to provide quality health care for all stages of our patients’ lives. We practice preventative medicine and early detection of disease to ensure the greatest quality of life for each pet. We are proactive in offering the best possible health care for our patients through education and communication.
Our highly motivated staff, consisting of 2.5 full-time veterinarians and 3 full-time LVTs, strive to provide a compassionate and loving environment to alleviate the stress of medical and surgical treatments. Our team is committed to excellence and individual attention for each companion and their owner. We treat dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, small mammals, reptiles and pot-bellied pigs. We also serve our community by aiding in the treatment of injured and orphaned wildlife.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality of care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Communicating effectively with clients and staff to provide a high level of care leading to client retention.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
Stays current on new and/or changes in veterinary medicine.
Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional and general public communities.
