Position available in 5 doctor equine ambulatory practice located just outside of the Seattle metro area. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who has a passion for providing top level care to clients and their horses. Great communication skills, dedication to continued learning, willingness to participate in practice development are traits we value. Complete integrity is an absolute requirement. Associates are encouraged to distinguish themselves and help expand the practice by developing expertise in areas of their interest.
We have great clients who tend to be well educated and have high expectations for veterinary care and customer service. We see many types of horses involved in a variety of equestrian disciplines. The practice emphasizes on farm diagnosis and care whenever possible and in the best interest of the horse. We provide a practice vehicle and the equipment and supplies needed to do good work. Our imaging equipment is top shelf and includes digital radiology (four systems), ultrasound (five systems), and portable endoscopy (3 meter and 1.1 meter systems). Therapeutic modalities include ProStrides, IRAP, Arteriocyte PCR, PulseVet shockwave, Class 4 laser, and motorized dental equipment. We also offer full reproductive services including embryo transfer, stallion collection and semen handling / freezing.
Caseload includes preventive care, performance and general medicine, dentistry, and reproduction. Our support staff is awesome, and everyone works together to deliver the best to our clients. Benefits include medical insurance, retirement plan, professional memberships, and a continuing education allowance. Emergency duties are shared among vets; weekends are rotated and additional days off are given for weekend coverage. Appointments are generally limited to Monday through Friday with most weekends free when not on call.
Near the practice are endless opportunities to enjoy the great Northwest - hiking, island trips, skiing, sea kayaking, and general fun outdoor stuff to do. The beautiful city of Seattle offers diverse cultural events, professional sports, excellent eating, and is just a short drive away. DVM or VMD degree
At least one year practice experience with equine focus. Prefer given to those completing a formal internship
Eligible or current license to practice in the state of Washington
USDA Catergory 2 accreditation
Driver's license in good standing
