Fulltime Staff Veterinarian needed for innovative canine rescue organization. Coco's Heart Dog Rescue is building a veterinary facility to support the 1000 plus rescue dogs they have in their foster rescue program. They currently adopt 1500+ dogs annually into forever home. Due to their excellent financial backing they rescue geriatric , injured, and diseased animals as well as healthy puppy litters and individual dogs. All rescue animals are housed in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. Coco's Heart spends over $1,000,000 annually in veterinary care and has taken the next step to build a veterinary facility to support the medical and surgical needs of their rescue animals. All incoming rescue animals follow a strict protocol of veterinary examination, diagnostic testing, vaccination and parasite treatment and control upon arrival into the foster based rescue organization. All animals receive needed veterinary care prior to adoption. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Coco's heart has a network of medical and surgical veterinary specialists available for referral when needed.
Competency in small animal medicine and surgery. Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the rescue and their fosters

Coco's Heart Dog Rescue is an innovative foster based rescue organization committed to giving as many pets as possible a happy nurturing forever home. Their model provides high quality veterinary medical and surgical care as needed for all their rescue animals waiting for adoption. Because of their success and their desire to assist even more rescue animals they have made the decision to build a veterinary facility and staff it with high quality veterinary staff. The projected move-in date for their new facility is December 2021 and they hope to have their staff in place prior to this date. Current plan is to employ one fulltime veterinarian, 3 certified veterinary technicians plus administration staff. Facility is sized for additional veterinarians and staff as growth allows. Veterinarian will function as chief of staff and report to rescue board of directors.
