About Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center
Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center is a small, rural shelter located in beautiful Douglas County Oregon. Our shelter is a private nonprofit and we work with our county to house stray animals. We are proud to say that 94% of the 3,500 animals who come through our doors each year are either adopted or reunited with their families. Our kennels are rarely full so we have no need to euthanize for space. Our team is now exploring ways to help our community with proactive outreach programs to help keep people and pets happy and healthy. We are seeking a DVM to help us create and implement those new programs. This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian looking to transition to shelter medicine and who is interested in a leadership position. We have a low drama team who genuinely enjoys the work we do. Our community offers two beautiful rivers, lots of outdoor activities and many, many wineries!
