Qualified candidates should not be intimidated by the position and would not be expected to be proficient in advanced reproductive techniques at this time, but would demonstrate a willingness to learn with mentorship, with the expectations of performing all duties in the future. Primary duties for this position would involve managing client mares, embryo recovery, embryo transfer and transvaginal follicular aspiration. Start date for the position can be flexible, with option to start immediately or after candidate has fulfilled obligations for current breeding season. Facilities include 116 stalls, multiple exam areas, paddocks and exercise pens, and well-equipped semen, embryo, and ICSI labs. This is a new position and an opportunity to practice high quality reproductive medicine with an experienced and supportive team. The job will be primarily in the clinic but occasional farm visits may be required. Located in an active college town. Salary commensurate with abilities and experience. The practice currently produces about 500 embryo transfer pregnancies per year with roughly 15% from on-site ET, 15% from transported embryos and 70% from ICSI embryos.
