Elizabethville Veterinary Hospital is looking for a veterinarian who will become a member of our animal health care team. Our mission is to provide complete life span care for domestic mammals while educating their owners in their proper care and management. We also have a strong interest in safe guarding the public health of our area. The species we treat most often are dogs, cats, horses and cattle while seeing an increasing number of sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas and some deer. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with an interest in small ruminants. At this time we do not see or treat exotic animals, however if someone is very competent in treating these species, this would be an area that could be incorporated into our practice.
We would prefer to hire for a full-time position but a part-time option could be considered for the appropriate candidate. We will consider applicants who wish to treat only small animals.
There is the opportunity to buy into the practice!
We have a well-designed hospital with three exam rooms, waiting room with client restroom, reception area, employee lounge with employee restroom, pharmacy, lab, treatment room, radiology suite, sterile surgery room with kennels all on the main floor. Our practice vehicle has a refrigerator, complete set of dental floats and portable ultrasound along with all the necessary equipment to take care of farm animals.
