Bellwood Animal Hospital, in Rockford, IL, has an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian to join our team. We are an established, multi-doctor, full-service veterinary hospital serving companion pets and exotics, including reptiles and small mammals. The practice has a reputation for combining the highest quality veterinary care with exceptional client service in a modern facility that offers state-of-the-art treatments such as abdominal ultrasounds, orthopedic surgery, and digital dental radiography.

 Physicians work in tandem, so there is always support with no on-call or emergency call required. Work-life balance is important to all at Bellwood.  Veterinarians have a comfortable schedule, with a dedicated same day off each week and alternating week Saturday shifts ending at 12pm.  Remote access is available for veterinary staff.  Bellwood is a paper-lite practice, with medical records through AVImark software system.  We have a dedicated and ample support staff team who is accustomed to handling a large number of client communications.  Our local emergency hospital is located less than a mile away, with 24/7 care available.  Close proximity to UW Veterinary Care, as well as multiple private specialty hospitals, provides relief in cases where Bellwood cannot meet all needs locally.  

The experienced and long tenured staff creates a warm and supportive work environment dedicated to our doctors, patients and clients. Our doctors work collaboratively on cases to provide superior patient care.   This collaborative and team-based approach makes for the ideal environment for new graduates, as it will also provide insight for the experienced veterinarian.  With a 6 doctor-team, this allows for a wide base of knowledge to adequately support our patients' needs.
