Black River Veterinary Hospital, located in Chester, NJ, is growing again! We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic professional to join our team as an FT or PT Associate Veterinarian. No after-hours emergencies.

North Central New Jersey’s premier small animal hospital. We value the human-animal bond and we see our clients and patients as extended family. We have board-certified Oncologists, Internists, and surgeons that are on staff as well as our 8 superstar general practitioners. We encourage special interest development and support continuing education. We have an incredible healthcare team, great clientele, a beautiful 5,000+ sq foot facility, and a surgical building in the works– it is truly fun to come to work every day! We are a privately (family) owned hospital, and have no intention of ever joining the "corporate hospital trap".
We provide services such as wellness examinations, immunizations, surgery, in-house lab, ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgeries, endoscopy, and cold laser therapy. (To name just a few!) We leverage our in-house pharmacy, as well as consultations, with our Internists, Oncologists, Radiologists, and Surgeons to get our patients the best care in an efficient manner.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who will complement our dynamic and compassionate team. Our successful candidate is client-oriented, has a passion for educating clients, has great people skills, is focused on quality care, and is a team player. They will need to have experience in both general medicine and surgery. We also highly encourage doctors with special interests to apply. With a large staff, we also have the ability to mentor new grads. Experience with Cornerstone software is a bonus.
