Come work for an expanding practice in one of the fastest growing communities in the state! Midway Veterinary Hospital of Somerset, Kentucky is a growing six doctor small animal surgery and medicine practice located in the heart of beautiful south central Kentucky, and we are looking for an eager, compassionate veterinarian to join our team!
We are a full service general practice that also functions as a teaching hospital in partnership with Lincoln Memorial University. Veterinary students rotate through the clinic for a month at a time as part of their clinical education, making this a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for education and mentorship.
Services include: soft tissue and basic orthopedic surgery, dental care (with digital radiology), chemotherapy, digital radiology and ultrasound, telemedicine, and after hours on-call emergency care. Repro services and avian/exotic medicine are also offered, and veterinarians with an interest in these areas are encouraged.
We have a support team of over 30 employees including three LVTs and sixteen assistants, and we proactively encourage professional development and continuing education among the support staff. Overnight staff ensures that hospitalized pets are never left alone.
Scheduling is based on a four day work week with rotating on-call duties one weeknight and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month.
Compensation packages include a base salary with quarterly or annual production bonuses, relocation reimbursement, PTO, annual CE stipend, and a full suite of benefits.
