We are growing! Staunton River Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a stellar Associate Veterinarian to our team! Our practice was founded in 2012 by Dr. Carrie Turnbull when she decided she wanted to create her own space for animals, clients, and employees to be loved and appreciated. Dr. Turnbull is assisted by her wonderful associate DVM, Dr. Jessica Stein, and a support team that includes multiple Licensed Veterinary Technicians and experienced assistants. We are a small animal general practice but also see potbellied or miniature pigs!
Ready for a unique experience? We offer house calls to select clientele via our mobile unit! Our RV is equipped for wellness visits as well as at home euthanasia. Doctors will travel with the comfort of a Veterinary Assistant or LVT to help assist with appointments.
We welcome any veterinarians interested in offering surgical, dental, radiology, and wellness services to our diverse and caring clientele. We service a large variety of the countryside community as well as the retired lake county families. We believe in a firm work-life balance for all our employees, so we don’t require any emergency/on-call hours. We are also closed on weekends!
About the area: Moneta is located in central Virginia just outside of Roanoke and off the banks of the beautiful Smith Mountain Lake. It provides a tranquil atmosphere with plenty of access to green space and nature trails. You might recognize Moneta from the famous 1991 film, “What About Bob?”.
