Southern Veterinary Partners offers several different student programs to give current DVM students work experience while providing valuable mentorship, and networking opportunities. SVP is investing in the future of veterinary medicine through cutting-edge dental education programs. Our dental program will help you advance your dentistry skills through hands-on training, observation and mentorship. You will be able to learn from a Board-Certified Dentist at one of our state-of-the-art dental surgery and training centers which are located in Flower Mound, TX and Durham, NC. You will be able to select your preferred location in the application. Candidates must be third-or-fourth-year veterinary students in good academic standing at an AVMA-accredited school of veterinary medicine.
In this program you will:
Learn Dentistry basics including but not limited to: examinations, normal/abnormal dental anatomy, taking and reading radiographs, using local anesthesia, using hand tools
Learn Dental specialty operations such as: observe office workflows, understand team dynamics, and shadow client interactions
Receive the opportunity to use specialized imaging equipment
Be able to shadow dental procedures and observe complex cases
You must be a third or fourth year DVM student
To participate in the DVM Student Program you must be enrolled in an accredited doctor of veterinary medicine program.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
SVP pays $500 weekly stipend for each student opportunity. You will be required to complete necessary tax documents to receive this stipend.
