Desert Pines Equine Medical and Surgical Center is seeking a qualified surgeon to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. Board-certified or surgery-trained veterinarians are invited to apply. Desert Pines is a well-established, progressive seven-doctor practice with two surgeons, an internist, two interns, and excellent support staff serving as southern Nevada’s only fully-service equine veterinary hospital. We see equine athletes from barrel racing to Grand Prix dressage and jumping.

Applicantscan be board qualified or individuals who have completed surgery residency training. Applicants must be in completion in good standing of a DVM or VMD degree from an accredited university, or a graduate of a college of veterinary medicine that has completed The Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates® (ECFVG®) certification program, and has a veterinary license and accreditation to practice in the state of Nevada.

The clinic has two large exam/treatment rooms, ICU stalls, a barn for hospitalization, and a surgical suite. The clinic also has state-of-the-art equipment, including digital radiography, 1 and 3-meter endoscopy, digital ultrasound, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, power-float dental equipment, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, and class IV laser, IRAP processing, PRP and an in-house laboratory. The practice is currently 40% ambulatory with 60% in clinic caseload. Las Vegas has a diverse horse population with equestrians from dressage, jumping, show, racing, and the rodeo arena.
