HVMC is a 2 doctor, privately owned small animal general practice looking to add an associate veterinarian to the team. Our practice is well established with a great local reputation, and under new ownership as of 2023. We have a close-knit, committed, knowledgeable, and growing support staff. New graduates are welcome to apply; mentorship will happily be provided. Doctors have the flexibility to choose their preferred hours/work schedule. • Small animal general practice, including sick and wellness appointments, drop-off diagnostic work-ups, emergency work-ins, referral center follow-up care, doctor consultations, and management of hospitalized patients.
• Soft tissue surgery, including a wide variety of both routine and emergency procedures - depending on candidate's interests/surgical comfort levels.
• Dental procedures (COHATs) - depending on candidate's interests/surgical comfort levels.
• Willing to let new associate add more surgical procedures to our repertoire.

About Henderson Veterinary Medical Center

Founded in 1985, we are a small animal private practice located in Henderson, Kentucky. We are located just across the river from Evansville, IN with convenient proximity to Louisville, Nashville, and St. Louis. The area offers various outdoor activities with lakes, rivers, and state parks nearby. Our practice is open Monday through Saturday, 8 am - 5 pm, with no emergency/after-hours services. There are several nearby referral centers available for internal medicine, neurology, orthopedics, nutrition, 24/7 ER, urgent care, etc. Under new ownership as of January 2023, the practice has experienced rapid growth as well as many upgrades - currently featuring Shepherd cloud-based veterinary software, paperless records with the use of desktop computers and Microsoft Surface tablets, in-house IDEXX lab equipment (Procyte, Catalyst, and Sedivue analyzers), IDEXX digital x-ray, dental x-ray, & ultrasound. We strive to cultivate an environment which encourages learning and growth, and enthusiastically take on several pre-vet/vet tech/veterinary students each year as externs.
