Steamtown Veterinary Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Emergency/Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our growing, locally owned hospital in Northeast Pennsylvania.

This position focuses primarily on emergency and urgent care cases, with the opportunity to perform surgery for candidates who are interested.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat emergency and urgent care cases
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Perform emergency procedures
• Perform soft tissue surgery (optional based on interest and experience)
• Interpret radiographs and basic ultrasound findings
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
• Work collaboratively with skilled veterinary technicians
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Qualifications

• PA license, DVM or VMD 
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team
